Heart-2-Heart

Women’s Discipleship & Mentoring

We want to help women become mature in Christ and develop spiritual generations and to provide spiritual role models for encouragement and guidance in overcoming common issues with which women struggle.

Key Verses: Matthew 28:18–20, Titus 2:3–4, Psalm 145:4, Hebrews 10:24–25

Discipleship: A disciple is any woman who desires to grow spiritually through a one-on-one relationship. Disciplers are mature believers with a heart for helping women grow in their faith by helping them develop spiritual habits of daily devotions, prayer, and service through life-to-life modeling and training. The heart of discipleship comes from Titus 2:3–4, which states mature women should “teach what is good” and endeavor to train up the younger women in the faith.

Mentoring: Mentoring can be topical or issues driven. Mentors will share their life experiences in such areas as parenting, marriage, aging, divorce, death of child, grief, unforgiveness, overcoming fear, depression, anxiety, or suicide in family. Mentors are women who have firsthand experience and are ready and willing to share openly and honestly in order to encourage and teach others. 2nd Corinthians 1:4 states, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” This verse is the heart of Heart-2-Heart Mentoring.

Quarterly Bible Studies

Join us each quarter as we work through different study series. Wednesday night studies are offered at 7 PM, which is concurrent with our Awana and Amp’d youth programs. All studies require between a 5- to 13-week commitment, depending on the course.

Women with Purpose

“We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.” (Colossians 1:28)

The Women with Purpose program is designed to coach women as they walk their spiritual path as commanded by the Lord, so they may be a perfect presentation in Christ that is well-trained, well-equipped, and ready to defend the gospel. Through a mix of scheduled and self-paced courses, women work through the following topics:

  • Training: Disciple-making, Salvation Testimony, Evangelism
  • Equipping: Hermeneutics, Genesis, Revelation and Eschatology
  • Defending: Apologetics, Basic Theology
  • Knowledge of Scripture
  • Special Topics

Program details are addressed in an orientation held every September. Enrollment is offered once a year following the orientation.
