If you have questions about any of our ministries, please contact the church office.
This ministry meets on Sunday mornings with the purpose of equipping the saints for service to
God and neighbors. Gifted men and women teach classes on books of the Bible and on subjects
that pertain to living a life that is pleasing to God. There are several classes to choose
from and a new class begins each quarter of the year. Classes start at 10:00am.
The best explanations for this ministry have already been written. Visit the Awana Clubs International site.
There are several Bible studies taking place within the church; attendants range from only
women to only men to full families. If you're interested in attending one of these Bible
studies and don't know how to find it, ask any of the Pastors or Elders and they will put
you in touch with one of the study leaders.
We provide Biblical financial counseling using Larry Burkett's material from
Crown Financial Ministries.
This ministry meets with men and women held in the Frederick County Detention Center once
a month (see the calendar). The teams (men with men and ladies with ladies) conduct worship
services, including music and teaching from God's word.
This ministry meets every Wednesday night and provides a time to share the gospel through prayer, music
and a devotion of God's word.
The purpose of the MABC marriage ministry is to provide Scriptural instruction, biblical counsel, and a framework for marriage repair and marriage enrichment. The ministry is accomplished through a quarterly workshop entitled Marriage Investors, a couple's mentoring program, and a quarterly Bible Study program. The marriage ministry is headed by Pastor Marvin Patrick and his wife, Debbie.
Mount Airy Christian Academy provides a Christian education for grades K-10. The school is a ministry of
Mount Airy Bible Church and is centered on God's word.
This is a home school ministry and is open to members of the church.
Mount Airy Bible Church has a three-year program designed to better equip the men of the church to
be strong disciples of Jesus Christ. We desire all of the men of the church to go through this
series of classes; from this group, the leadership of the church is developed. Classes cover
disciple making, devotions, prayer, evangelism, and all key areas to help a man be a man of God.
The Missions Committee focuses on the support of missionaries locally and overseas. They also
determine which missionaries we support and how we support them.
Mount Airy Bible Church uses numerous styles of music in the worship service. On any given
Sunday you may sing a hymn, then some contemporary choruses, and then hear anything from a
bluegrass group to a traditional brass ensemble for special music; it is truly a "blended"
service in every sense of the word.
The New Believers class is designed to teach those who are young in Christ the fundamentals of
Christianity. The group meets every Wednesday night (non-Summer months) from 6:45pm to 8:15pm.
The purpose of our youth ministry is to equip youth to minister to their peers through
evangelism, outreach, and relationships for the building up of the body. The ministry is
comprised of two groups - Junior High and High School ages.
