Students in Bible class not only learn the meaning of God’s Word,
they begin to focus more on applying it to their lives. Heritage Studies
of our country and the world reinforce their Christian worldview. Science
classes become more exploratory and experiment-based. Pre-Algebra and
Algebra classes for accelerated mathematics students are offered in addition
to the regular mathematics classes. Language Arts combines student learning
in grammar, literature, and writing into a cohesive whole. Physical education
is required. Enrichment through electives in computer science, Spanish,
art, music, and other subjects completes the students’ education.
Students in sixth
and seventh grade Bible classes study using Positive Action for Christ;
eighth grade students study with Lifeway and ACSI curriculum. History
students utilize the Heritage Studies from Bob Jones. Language Arts classes
utilize the Mos Dos Press Literature series and supplemental materials.
Mathematics students use the McDougal-Littell textbooks and accompanying
website. Science classes use Christian Schools International textbooks,
laboratory kits, and supplemental materials.
